What I do at Peak: Graphic Design and Print-Production
What I do when I'm not at Peak: Re-landscaping our backyard (momentarily just in my head…) Hiking in the summer – Skiing in the winter. Try to get in the habit of a regular yoga routine (someday…)
Dream job (other than being at Peak for the rest of my career): I've always wanted to be either a gardener or a goldsmith
Pet peeve(s): People driving and not paying attention to traffic because they are busy doing stuff they should have done at home, like eating, reading the paper, putting on make-up, shaving, or brushing their teeth
Favorite book(s): "The Kite Runner" totally mesmerized me - couldn’t stop reading
Favorite movie(s): Dead Poets Society
Favorite TV show(s): I like to watch "House" with (and because of) Hugh Laurie and before that "Becker" with Ted Danson. I guess I have weak spot for mean Physicians. But my true favorite is the German show "Tatort" (Crime Scene), which, unfortunately, I can’t watch here in the US. It’s a long-running (first episode was broadcast in 1970) Austrian/German/Swiss crime television series set in various parts of Germany and Austria.
Favorite music/artist(s): If I look into my iTunes I see: Jack Johnson, Zero 7, Death Cab, Rogue Wave, Thievery Corporation, The Shins, Sufjan Stevens, John Mayer
Favorite vacation: I love road trips - being somewhere else, seeing something new, eating food I never had before every day.
My 2 dream destinations right now are 1. Australia, to visit a very good friend, and 2., to spend at least a month traveling throughout Germany to all the places I never went to see during the 33 years that I lived there.
Teams you cheer: The German national soccer team
The perfect day: I’d wake up really early to the sound of birds’ singing and after getting out of my sleeping-bag I’d walk barefoot over a dew-covered meadow to the lake and take a swim. Big breakfast and then be on the road hiking, sight-seeing or just driving to new destinations
